New Video Explores Colombian CaaS Case Study 

Watch this video on the Q Group offices and hear from various stakeholders themselves why the CaaS model is a great solution for this commercial air-conditioning installation with multiple tenants. 

Completed in 2017, the new Q Group Offices in Medellín, Colombia accommodates 100 offices. The aim was to deliver a high-quality building (LEED certified) for its occupants with the best comfort standards while optimising capital expenditures.

Thanks to partnering with CaaS Alliance member MGM Innova Energy Services, Q Group is now benefitting from a superior air-conditioning system based on a Cooling as a Service (CaaS) contract, saving an estimated 1,2GWh in energy and 440-ton CO2e in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions annually.

The investment was fully carried out by MGM Innova Group and a monthly payment is billed to every office on a CaaS model. In this new video about the project, Edgar Botero, Director, MGM Innova Energy Services explains more about how the model works, while Juan Rafael Jaramillo A., Project Manager, Q Office speaks about the client’s requirement for this specific building and why CaaS was a suitable solution. 

The project developer on this site was Aire Verde Ingeniería and the video also includes interviews with Aire Verde’s Manuel Buitrago (General Manager) and Carolina Márquez Galeano (Resident Engineer) to further explore the benefits of this model for both end users and installers. 

Camilo Jaramillo, Manager, Asfalto & Hormigon is one of the tenants of this building and he also shares his experience in the video, elaborating more about why this service works well for them as end-users.
