New World-Class Speakers Announced for Upcoming CaaS E-Summit

The E-Summit is getting closer and an exciting outline of speakers and topics are taking shape! Join us on 1 December to learn how servitisation is enabling the effective deployment of sustainable and energy efficient technologies around the globe.

High-Profile Opening Speakers 

Dan Hamza-Goodacre, Non-Executive Director, Kigali Cooling Efficiency Program (K-CEP) from Climate Works will be joining Dave Mackerness from KAER in the opening session of the E-Summit. Hamza-Goodacre will be sharing key insights on the importance of sustainable cooling worldwide. The afternoon sessions will be opened by Jessica Brown, Executive Director from KCEP, who will join Iain Campbell, Senior Fellow from the Rocky Mountain Institute, sharing key insights on the importance of sustainable cooling.

Case Study Panels

Ayoola Dominic, CEO of KoolBoks, will be joining the first panel of case studies with Dave Mackerness (KAER), Dawie Kriel (Energy Partners Refrigeration) and Nnaemeka Ikegwuonu (ColdHubs) to share their experiences with implementing CaaS for their customers. In the afternoon, the E-Summit case study panel will welcome Dr. Anselm LaTouche, President of CoolingTech; Srinivas Marella COO of CoolCrop; Chris Elizondo, Chief Commercial Officer of Grupo Clima; Alfredo Nicastro Senior VP Operations & Sales from MGM Inova Group; and Mike Kann Director at Maxwell & Spark – all sharing their insights on the implementation of CaaS in a variety of applications.

Investors’ perspectives

To highlight this key perspective , the CaaS event will have the pleasure of welcoming Csaba de Csiky, Senior Managing Partner at EnersaveCapital; Vladimir Dugin, Principal at Energy Access Ventures; and Mike Peo Head of Infrastructure, Energy and Telecoms from NedBank. They will all share their insights as interested investors for CaaS implementations. In the afternoon, Maria Pia Iannariello, Founder and COO of MGM Innova Group and Aaron Muniz, CEO of PTC Proterra will connect along with Letizia Coradeschi, Investment Associate at SUSI Partners to share their perspective on CaaS as well.

Customers’ perspectives

The E-Summit will also feature panels of CaaS users sharing their insights. Ahmad Makiala, Nigerian produce trader and customer of ColdHubs, and Deepak Kumar, Managing Director of Elpro Park in India will form part of the morning panel to share their experience on implementing CaaS for off-grid refrigeration and large real estate complexes. In the afternoon, Marc Chasserot, CEO of shecco, will moderate a panel with Rafael Echevarne, CEO of ACI Latam-LAC representing Airports; Andre Snyman from Lynca Meats; Dominika Czerwinska from the World Green Building Council (WGBC); and Andrea Fernadez from Grupo Gentor – all sharing their perspectives on CaaS for end-users.

CaaS and COVID Distribution 

Given the ongoing global COVID-19 pandemic, the E-Summit will also include a panel dedicated to CaaS and COVID vaccine distribution. The session will be moderated by Toby Peters (Professor in Cold Economy at the University of Birmingham), and include Dr. Ben Nkechika, CEO of the Delta State Contributory Health Commission; and Devendra Gupta, CEO from Ecozen; and Diana Connett, Energy Specialist from the Asian Development Bank. The purpose of the session will be to discuss what is being done to proactively tackle the challenges of disseminating the vaccine, and doing so in a sustainable manner.

The Future of Servitisation in an Evolving World 

Jigar Shah, Co-Founder of General Capital, and SunEdison will share his views on the “as a Service”-model and the potential he sees for the market today. The Summit will also include two sessions which will evaluate the value of servitisation beyond cooling, looking at  the future potential of the model in these markets. In the first panel, the E-Summit will have the pleasure to welcome Justin Taylor, CEO from KAER, Jonas Hamann, Public Affairs and Marketing Manager from Danfoss, Mehmet Aras, Global Business Leader from Signify, Roxanne Pieterse, Research Heating Business Service Manager at Delta-EE, and Veronica Corno, Climate Finance Project and Communications Officer at BASE to expose how servitisation has been gaining momentum beyond cooling and bringing value to the markets. 

 

In the second panel on “Beyond Servitisation”, Kristen Panerali, Head of Electricity Industry at the World Economic Forum, will moderate the conversation with Clay Nesler, VP Global Energy and Sustainability at JCI; Tomas Naucler, Global Leader at McKinsey’s Aftermarket & Services Practice; Jaime Jimenez, VP Services and Business Development at Trane, and Tim Baines, Professor of Operations Strategy & Executive Director at the Advanced Services Group from Aston University.
